They have been voting, and we can now reveal the top 15 songs for Liverpool according to them. It’s our Contender Countdown 2023 where we find out which entries make the cut and where both our resident superfans, plus some from wider afield, tell us who they think will triumph in Liverpool…
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is the 67th edition of the competition, and takes place in Liverpool, United Kingdom on behalf of Ukraine, following the country’s victory at the 2022 contest in Turin, Italy, with the song “Stefania” performed by Kalush Orchestra.

Loreen
Sweden 2023Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui, known professionally as Loreen, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She won the 2012 contest with her entry 'Euphoria', which topped the charts in numerous European countries. She will represent Sweden in Eurovision for a second time in 2023 with 'Tattoo'.'

Teodora Špirić, known professionally as Teya and formerly as Thea Devy, is an Austrian singer and songwriter of Serbian descent. Selina-Maria Edbauer, known professionally as Salena, is an Austrian singer and songwriter. They teamed up to represent Austria in 2023 with the entry ‘Who the Hell Is Edgar?’
In 2021, Špirić was a participant in the fifth season of the Austrian talent show Starmania. She made it to the top eight contestants, but was eliminated before the final. Later that year, she released the single “Runaway (Stay)” with Croatian singer Ninski, using the stage name Teya.
In 2017, Salena participated in the seventh season of The Voice of Germany, where she reached the dueling rounds. In the show, Samu Haber was her coach. In 2019, she attempted represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Behind the Waterfall”, but ORF did not select her. In 2021, she competed in the Austrian talent show Starmania, where she reached the top 32 and met Teya.
